Sometimes the stars (or in this case the sun, sand and surf) all align to make the world seem just perfect for a minute. Tracey & Andrew’s family (yes, this is a real family and not paid models) joined me at The Shack on Windansea Beach in stunning La Jolla to capture their family holiday photos. What a joy it was for me.

Sunset Family Photos at Windansea Beach

This beach has a life of it’s own. I have been here more times than I can count, and it has never looked the same twice. Never. I love it – love it – love it!

Family Portraits

We intended to take these on the beach, but as happens often with children, they have other plans. Ha, ha! I think that it all worked out for the best actually, as the lighting in the shade provided us with some beautiful portraits!

Holiday Card Family Portrait Time

The Shack at Windansea was the perfect backdrop for the Levine’s Family Portrait on the Beach…

And a little silliness, just for good measure…

The Definition of Family

I met the Humphreys’ at Windansea Beach in La Jolla the day after Thanksging for family photos on the beach. What a great representation of what the holiday is all about – a joyful family thankful for their time together. Lucky me to have the opportunity to capture their ever expanding group!

Holiday Card Portraits

Balboa Park’s Zoro Gardens, Spanish Art Village and Lily Pond were the backdrop for the Stansfield crew!

Two Girls = Too Cute!!! ~ Balboa Park Family Portraits

Another spectacular day at Balboa Park, around the Botanical Garden Lily Pond and Spanish Art Village

Oh Windansea, I Just Can’t Get Enough

In addition to Windansea Beach being one of my favorite locations on this planet, I got to take pictures for an awesome family there last weekend. As we wrapped up our time together and I pulled away, I could not help but feel extremely grateful that this is my ‘job’.

Zoro Gardens & Spanish Art Village

Little Teagan is on the move! As she ran around the Spanish Art Village and Zoro Gardens in Balboa Park, we just tried out best to keep up. It was really fun for me to see what a fun and beautiful little girl that she is growing into, as she was still really a baby last year when we took photos at Seaport Village.
